AZ Desert Doberman Rescue

Since I lost my rescue doberman in June 2014, I fell in love with the breed.  I have since adopted another doberman through Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue.  He was so special and I will always hold him dear in my heart.  Desert Harbor will always be a Rescue I come backt for the next doberman and also foster when possible.   I believe all rescued animals deserve a second chance so I make it a point to rescue my dogs rather than purchase from a breeder. There are so many animals in need of a home and I want to help find and facilitate the ability to help these amazing animals.  I have found through experience, many of these dogs only need time and love in order to trust again, unlike humans.  These incredible creatures are often times disappointed in the most horrific ways by humans, yet still find a way to forgive and love again.  Their love is such an honor to have as they learn to love unconditionally.  I have learned to open my heart again due to these incredible dogs.  My parents have rescued many animals through their life.  My mother showed, through compassion, her love for animals as we grew up with horses, sheep, hogs, geese, chickens, turtles, tortoises, dogs, cats, birds, snakes, rabbits, hedgehogs, rabbits and many others.  My mother would find injured animals in the desert and bring them back to health then release them back in the wild.  I learned many life skills through her love, compassion and a small amount of patience because of these animals.  So, I have also rescued many dogs and want to continue helping these amazing animals that deserve a second chance.
